You probably presume it takes hours of prep, a team of 10 hair dressers and
the most expensive, and top of the range products to achieve these hairstyles
– but you’d be wrong. Here are some super popular and sleek hair styles from
some of today’s biggest names – and how you can use your Smooth Stick to
help recreate them!
Look 1: The Smooth Split.
Nothing screams “I mean business” like a solid parting of the hair! It’s a power move. You don’t mess with the slick parting. The parting of the hair is often times the place where most of your fuzz issues can stem from. It is where those sneaky little baby hairs love to roam wildly free and nothing ruins a slick look like flyaway hairs. The Smooth Stick is a wizard when it comes to taming those unruly hairs. One flick of the Smooth Stick, will see those bold strands return promptly to their assigned seat. Top tip: Use a fine comb to perfectly execute the parting. The thinner the comb, the easier it is to separate the hair into the correct side!
Look 2: The Sleek Ponytail.
The sleek ponytail is like the modern day beehive – iconic. It is a collective representation of both glamour and chic, while simultaneously appearing effortless. A firm favourite amongst celebrities. We recommend applying a small amount of gel to your fingertips and rubbing back through your hair to start. Using a large paddle brush, sweep the hair as best you can up into your ponytail. Be sure to secure with a solid bobbin or scrunchie (you know, the kind that will certainly result in a headache by the end of the night – beauty is pain) to be certain hair stays in place. Finally, use your Smooth Stick to swish any unruly pieces into place. A perfect finishing touch.
Look 3: The Slicked-Back hair
The slicked-back hair look provides a little more opportunity for volume in the hair, while still remaining sleek and neat. Business in the front, party in the back kind of vibe (minus the mullet.) To achieve this Gigi famous look, we recommend using a backcombing brush first on the roots of your hair. This creation of volume makes it super easy to manipulate the hair to go whatever direction you choose. Remember, the higher the hair – the closer to God. Once you have done this, use a large paddle brush to swoosh the hair backwards off your face. To achieve a more effortless look, spray the now volumous hair with your favourite hairspray and run your fingers through it. If you’d prefer a more slick look (see photo), turn to your Smooth Stick and apply it backwards in the direction the hair is going. The fibrous wand will work as a mini comb, and help tame the hair in a neat manner, while the strong holding serum will help keep the look in place for the entire evening!
